Toolkits
Mosaique’s toolkits are immersive workshops designed to help you navigate the complexities of mental health and well-being. These are not just discussions. They are embodied experiences that engage the mind, body, and emotions in meaningful ways. Each session invites participants to explore themes like boundary setting, journaling for self-reflection, perfectionism, fear, and the many ways we seek safety and resilience in our daily lives.
Through guided exercises, creative expression, and collective reflection, participants develop practical skills to manage emotions, strengthen self-awareness, and build strategies for healing and resistance. Whether it is learning to honour your instincts, release the pressure of unrealistic expectations, or establish healthy boundaries, these workshops provide tools that carry into everyday life.
In addition to open workshops, we also offer tailored sessions for student groups, community organizations, and other care-based spaces. We work collaboratively to shape the content so it reflects the needs, realities, and strengths of your community. These are not one-size-fits-all. They are workshops designed with and for you.

TOOLKIT 1: Managing Fear and Honouring Resistance to Oppressive Practices on Campus
Fear is often seen as something to overcome, but what if we understood it as a tool that helps us navigate oppression and find safety in uncertain spaces? In this workshop, we will explore the wisdom of our bodies, validate our responses to fear, and learn how to create moments of safety within environments that may not always feel secure.
Through movement, storytelling, and creative exercises, participants will recognize fear as a natural signal rather than a weakness, connect with their body’s wisdom to find dignity and resistance, and share experiences of responding to threats while acknowledging their own resilience. They will also identify and draw their own “Islands of Safety,” discovering personalized strategies and resources for grounding and protection.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your connection to yourself or navigate fear in a way that empowers you, this session offers tools you can carry beyond the workshop. Join us in building a collective space of validation, strength, and self-trust.
TOOLKIT 2: Setting Boundaries for Personal and Community Wellness
Boundaries are an essential part of healthy relationships, yet many of us struggle to set them, whether due to cultural expectations, systemic pressures, or the fear of disappointing others.
This workshop offers a space to explore what boundaries mean, how they impact our well-being, and how we can practice setting them with confidence and compassion. Through interactive discussions, group activities, and role-playing exercises, participants will develop self-awareness, learn to communicate their needs effectively, and critically examine the societal narratives that influence our ability to say no. The session will explore how systemic oppression, cultural norms, and personal histories shape boundary-setting, particularly for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities.
This workshop is an opportunity to unlearn harmful conditioning, reclaim agency over personal space and energy, and build relationships rooted in mutual respect and care.
TOOLKIT 3: How to Choose Between Apathy and Empathy in an Overwhelming World
In a world that feels like it’s always in crisis, how do we stay compassionate without burning out?
This workshop explores the tension between apathy and empathy, focusing on how detachment can feel like a survival tool, while deep care can be emotionally exhausting. Through interactive discussions and reflective exercises, participants will develop strategies to set boundaries, manage emotional fatigue, and stay engaged without feeling overwhelmed. We’ll examine the personal, cultural, and systemic forces that shape our emotional responses, particularly for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities.
This session is a space to reflect, connect, and cultivate sustainable ways to care—for ourselves and for others.
